Reykjavík Fashion Academy was a school that offered styling studies, among other programs, which concluded with a fashion show at the end, where students received a diploma in the field they had enrolled in.
The program lasted 10 weeks, and each week we were assigned projects that we either had to present at the end of the week or complete as a photoshoot that we submitted at the week’s end.
We learned about fashion history, the stories of designers and much more. In the middle of the program, we had the opportunity to assist and go backstage with various designers at Reykjavík Fashion Festival. The days there were very long but extremely enjoyable and seeing how each designer developed their concepts behind each collection, the color palettes, patterns, and silhouettes was incredibly interesting.
